The Norse Funeral

The Direction

This one started after a Wardroba concert. I was listening to one of their songs and found myself thinking about my own Norse funeral. The idea was immediate. I had the tools. I decided to make it.

Before generating anything I researched how Norse funerals actually worked. What I found dismantled most of what I thought I knew. The history ended up shaping the whole film.

The Process

The Norse Funeral was my first serious approach to character consistency across scenes. I defined each character before writing a single line of script, who they were and how they would move through the story. Then the script, then the keyframes, then the videos in sequence.

I also learned as much about Norse history as I did about video generation. That felt right.

The Result

A personal project that became a technical milestone. The character consistency work done here became the foundation for every story I built after it.
